About the artist
Neal William Turner - Warwickshire born, raised, and centred
discovered his artistic flair after suffering a stroke within the last decade.
Before this life-changing event, he had worked tirelessly
in four sectors for ten years at a time:
Construction, Automotive, Education, and Logistics
with craft and dexterity or management/analytics.
There was never much room or opportunity for absolute creativity.
After the health scare it became clear that these roles were beyond him.
As recovery slowly came, the void in thought and memory capacity
was filled with creative shapes, images and words.
Memory was negligible, NOW was imperative.
With the ‘present’ being the main focus, Neal struggled
finding an artistic style he could accept as his own.
As is typical of his condition,
he flits – like a butterfly – between media, this style to that,
which is apparent in his portfolio.

Neal is recovering from a health scare that increased creativity at the cost of reduced concentration. Unable to settle to one particular style, his 'coded' works give him an outlet.

Having seen the best of decades, Neal feels it acceptable to see old images and revive them as new. Whether drastically reviewed or subtly tweaked... they deserve to be regarded as contemporary, even now.

If there is ONE art classification that Neal can fit into...Abstract is IT. Ai follows too many prompts. He uses random acts of application to start. Midway a way may be seen. Finally the totality is clear. Interpretation OR title is another act.

'Turner co-opts Hopper in Nuneaton' tries to give an Edward Hopper vibe in the centre of town.
'Monet montage curated by Turner' gives access to 36 popular Monet paintings in one viewing.
